Over the past two years, I have been acting in The Canadian Badlands Passion
Play. This play takes place just outside of Drumheller, and tells the story of the life of Jesus. I have been
graced with the same role for two years in a row, the Thief on the Left of Jesus. This is a speaking part, and in addition
to it, I also have been a crowd member (stealing money from the other cast members) as well as a temple guard. There
is a link to the 2008 program further down.
Acting in this play requires much strength, as you need to be able
to withstand the intense heat throughout rehearsals and shows. In addition, my part that I played required much more strength,
in the form of self esteem. Imagine getting up in front of 2500 people daily, naked, calling attention to yourself.
It also can be quite cold. However, I was quite dedicated, and even though it began to rain during a particular performance,
I didn't move a muscle, as I was supposed to be "dead". However, I can tell you that the moment the play was done I
jumped off my cross and grabbed a coat or two!

Note that while I am on Jesus' left, this is technically the viewers right. Thus, I am the one with a beard.
Passion Play 2008 Program

This year, I am again acting in the Passion Play, however, they have
given me a much larger role: I am to play Judas Iscariot. Throughout the month of June, there has been rehearsals and
preparation for the July showtimes. I have taken this role very seriously, and have so far been rewarded with much praise.
I anticipate the upcoming shows with much enthusiasm. Below are a few pictures of the rehearsals.
