The link below leads to a video I made to show off a few maps that I have created using the Sandbox Map Editor 1.
It shows off many landscapes that appear natural. I enjoy making landscapes that appear to recreate nature. I
then add in ruins, and finally modern buildings to simulate human interference. I find that this adds much more depth
to each area than could normally be attained. Through each of the areas, note the attention to detail that is present
in all my work. I try very hard to ensure that quality is very apparent.
Three Maps
The music in the video is "Nebelpfade" by E Nomine. It is a placeholder really, as watching a landscape video such
as this is quite boring without sounds.
Below are a few screens of a map that I am in the processs of creating using the Sandbox 2 Map Editor. Again, I
aim to be both precise in detail, while still emulating nature. I am not concerned with playability at this stage, simply
making a beautiful location. As I continue to use this editor more, I become more aware of different features, greatly
enhancing the next area I work with.

While this map isn't completed, it shows the amount of work and effort put into each map. A natural landscape
takes time to create, and this shows about a good 8 hours of work. In particular, I enjoyed trying to create the natural
ramp up into the mountains from the beach area. much of the area is not yet textured correctly, and much of the landforms
will be changed as I go from one end of the map to the other. I intended this particular island featured in the screenshots
to be more of a ship port, so there is much more manmade interference. At this time I do not intend to populate this
map with people or objects further than buildings, as I find landscapes much more interesting.
Lastly, I have a trailer for a machinima that I created a little over a year ago. The skills involved in created
a machinima are similar to any other directed animation, requiring voice acting, direction, sound effects, not to mention
being the actors within the piece as well. This particular piece was chosen due to the camera angles used, voice acting,
and overall flow.
