This terrifying model is painted in much of the same manner as the Dreadnought, With black being the primary colour, and the details being fleshed out with complimentary colours all around.

With this model, I experimented with the "triangle theory", attempting to use a solid, base colour in a triangle shape to bring focus to the detail of the modewl.   I chose to use purple, represented in the eyes, haft of the mace, and bullet casings for the gun.

This shoulder was meant to stick out, as it is the only part of the model painted with greens.  Its purpose was to signify an alliegance to a particular squad.

I enjoy making each colour have a complimentary one somewhere else on the model.  In this case, the green on the shoulder is complimented my the wax seals present all over the model, and is complimented most strongly by the casing for the gun in his other hand.

As much as possible, I also try to pair the bone colours with red, as more of a symbolic theme than anything.  This motif is present in almost all my models, even if it directly contradicts the model creators original artistic design.  Then again, thats what artistic liscense is for, right?

Even when a surface doesn't have certain details to be picked out, I still add to them.  flat surfaces allow me to show off more of my design ideas.  the parchment this particular character wears as a tabard has litanies written down the entire front, with a discernable signature at the bottom.  If you look close enough, you can make out my name in handwriting.
